The latest Almighty album release is the cleverly compiled tribute to the fabulous, timeless and inspirational era that was DISCO - We Love Disco. This stunning 2 CD set includes 30 tracks and combines genuine Disco classics, some very select titles and some of Almighty's own disco reworkings. The highlights include brand new and exclusive remixes of three Disco classics by Thelma Houston, Tata Vega and Donna Summer. This could very possibly be THE first ever continuously mixed disco CD. Without us researching to see whether or not it actually is, we can confirm, quite proudly, that even if it's not the first, it's very definitely the best. This 30-tracker is fantastically sequenced and Almighty's studio boys' mixing here is just faultless.
Many executives of the music industry have been hunting far and wide to locate rare masters so that we might be able to use these obscure and rare 12" versions (as opposed to the standard radio edits you'd expect on previous Disco compilations), on We Love Disco. Some of these extended mixes have actually never been issued on CD before!
Among the real Disco classics included here are Change’s 'A Lover's Holiday', Johnny Mathis’ 'Gone, Gone, Gone' (which has never been on CD before), Alicia Bridges' 'I Love The Nightlife', Voyage's 'Souvenirs', Stacy Lattisaw's 'Jump To The Beat', Sister Sledge's 'We Are Family', Gloria Gaynor's 'Never Can Say Goodbye', Chic's 'Le Freak', Grace Jones' 'Do Or Die', Frantique’s 'Strut Your Funky Stuff', plus these sought after titles... Gino Soccio's 'Dancer', Sarah Dash's 'Sinner Man', John Davis' 'Love Magic' Debbie Jacobs 'High On Your Love' and more.
The two brand new Almighty mixes on this set really make this an essential purchase. There's Thelma Houston's all-time classic 'Don't Leave Me This Way' and Tata Vega's 'I Just Keep Thinking About You Baby'. Also included exclusively is the recently commissioned (and as yet unreleased) Almighty mix of Donna Summer's 'I Feel Love' - THE true disco anthem of them all. Those Almighty inspirations and interpretations included here are Indigo's 'Haven't You Heard' and 'I Don't Know What I'd Do (If You Ever Left Me)', H Truman's 'Underwater' and Hannah Jones' 'In The Name Of Love'.
