INFO
If you know dance music, you know Linda Imperial. She launched her recording career in the 70s and has worked with such artists as Sylvester, The Weather Girls, The New York Jazz Explosion and Gavin Christopher. As a solo artist on various labels, Linda landed several dance chart hits, including "Stranger," "Fire" and on Columbia Records, "Extra Credit." Her powerful, yet emotional vocals have made Linda a popular performer on the US club circuit and she thrills audiences with her passionate stage show wherever she performs.
This Hi-NRG smash "All By Myself"/"Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad" was produced by the hot new production team Cox/Reeves/Anderson. This double A-sided single went to #2 on the DMA International Hi-NRG Chart. Linda Imperial provides the "dance version" of this classic for clubgoers who can't get enough of the hits. Linda's percolating dance version of Meat Loaf's 1977 classic "Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad" produced by Interhit's Chris Cox (of Cox/Reeves/Anderson) perfectly compliments "All By Myself." In the end, it comes down to Linda's phenomenal vocals. One listen and you will truly feel the emotion, honesty and passion of a great vocalist.
"Linda Imperial has been working the Hi-NRG club circuit since its early 80s inception, though you couldn't tell from the girlish vibrance that sparks her performance of Meat Loaf's classic rock ballad. She whips through the track's frentic dance beats and racing keyboards with maximum flash and considerable soul. She also does a credible job of revving up Eric Carmen's "All By Myself" to a jaunty pop/disco pace."
Larry Flick/Billboard (April 19,1997)
"Both sides are magnificent, commercial dance pop of the highest caliber... "Two Out Of Three"... is an absolute knockout, with more power and passion than any traditional Hi-NRG offering we've heard since the Saint era."
Dean Ferguson/ DMA (May 1997)
