Top-selling Australian electro dance compilation InTheMix Vol. 05 comes to America courtesy of Megahit Records. Disc One, mixed by the red-hot Canadian electro superstar Tiga, unashamedly leans towards the nu-wave side of electro with eighties sounding vocals and synth chords, accompanied by irresistibly funky beats. A veritable feast of Tiga’s remixing and production work appears on InTheMix Vol. 05, including his irresistible remix of Thomas Anderson’s “Washing Up,” and his latest single “You Gonna Want Me,” which features Scissor Sisters front man Jake Shears on vocals, along with its B-side, the ominous “Do It Don’t Stop.” Other highlights include Tiefschwarz’ “Warning Siren,” Tiga’s recent homage to Public Enemy, “Louder Than A Bomb” and Tiga’s stellar “Out Of The Trance Closet Mix” of LCD Soundsystem’s “Tribulations.” Tiga’s legend has grown through his remixes for Cabaret Voltaire, Telepopmusik, Felix da Housecat, Fischerspooner, Dannii Minogue and many others.
Ajax’s eclectic mix on Disc Two borrows more from the disco and funk side of electro and it’s easy to see why Ajax has been dubbed Australia's prince of disco nouveau. Ajax’s never serious, always irreverent mix lures you in with its tantalizingly filthy basslines. Ajax’s mix features serious grooves from D.O.N.S. feat. Technotronic, Freeform Five, Stereo MCs, Sean Kosa, Mylo, Justsus Kohncke and DFA Killer. With Tiga and Ajaxx at the helm, InTheMix Vol. 05 is destined to be a monster!
