Godskitchen, the Birmingham based clubbing super-brand that exploded out of the mid 90's clubbing phenomenon and still continues to rule the roost as one of the UK's premier clubbing experiences, releases it's latest superb clubbing compilation album.
Having spawned its own festival, spectacular one-off arena events and worldwide tours, Godskitchen get ready to drop another supreme album full of classic tracks from yesteryear. The retrospective album takes a look back over the years at true club classics that have played a big part in making the club the success it is today. Godskitchen Classics focuses on the three main faces of Gods: trance, hard dance and house and features some of each genre's, and Godskitchen's, biggest moments ever. CD1 'Trance' sees massive club (and chart!) hits such as BBE's 'Seven Days And One Week' rub shoulders with Energy 52 'Café Del Mar', Tiësto 'Sparkles', PVD 'Alive and Delerium's tear jerker 'Silence'. CD2 'Hard Dance' has such crackers as Mauro Picotto's 'Lizard', Marco V's 'Indicator', Camisra's 'Let Me Show You' and Lisa Lashes' 'We Came We Saw' all jostling to out do each other on the BPM's front. Slowing things down to a reasonable pace for the oldies CD3 'House' takes in real out and out classics such as Spiller's 'Groovejet', Jaydee’s 'Plastic Dreams', Golden Girls’ 'Kinetic', Ruffneck's 'Everybody Be Somebody' and Stardust's chart topping 'Music Sounds Better With You'. Godskitchen Classics features a full commentary on who played what and when, showing that this is way more than just another dance music compilation, but in fact the result of a clubbing institution.
