Megahit Records proudly announces the launch of a new imprint dedicated to the best in underground house music - M TRAX. M Trax special focus will be on signing and developing house DJ/Producers and artists both in the U.S. and in Europe. The first M Trax release comes from a rising DJ/Artist in the red-hot French house music scene - Patrice (pronounced Pa - triss) Strike. Produced by Patrice Strike and A.N.D. for the up-and-coming S.I.G.L.E. Production House in Paris, the soulful house groove of "Be Ridin'" also showcases the amazing Sylvester-esque vocals of male diva Alexander Mars.
Patrice Strike began his DJ career at the tender age of 20 in a small town in the South of France. After winning a DJ contest, he arrived in Paris in 1992 and began spinning in various clubs where he developed a love for house music and immersed himself in the French house scene that has spawned international success stories like Daft Punk and Cassius. Currently, Patrice is the resident DJ at the famous gay club Le Scorp in Paris, while also spinning at Mixer Bar and Charm as well. After signing to S.I.G.L.E. Productions, he produced "Be Ridin'" with A.N.D. (Patrick Levy) - S.I.G.L.E.'s in-house producer/musician/composer. M Trax brings the unique sound of this exciting new artist to the U.S with the debut single "Be Ridin.'"
In addition to the French house groove of the "Vocal Mix" and "Original Mix," "Be Ridin'" spotlights the underground house vibe of L.A. remixer J. Randolph's "Slik Tao Mix" and "Slik Tao Dub." Taken from the upcoming M Trax compilation Club Metro: House Grooves from the French Underground, "Be Ridin'" is available on CD5 and 12" vinyl formats.
